HELLO!

I am an award-winning cookbook author, writer, recipe developer and cooking teacher specializing in preserving and pastry. I also work as a recipe tester and make fancy cakes. I have been a culinary professional for 20 years and am one of Canada’s only Master Food Preservers.

My work has appeared in the Guardian, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Cherry Bombe, LA Times, National Post, Globe & Mail, Chatelaine, House & Home and on Food52 and Saveur.com, among others. I am also a columnist for Nicola Lamb’s Kitchen Projects. I have been featured in Fine Cooking, the New York Times Style magazine, and Elle, to name a few.

I also play in a band called Sunset Rubdown.

I live in Toronto but was formed mostly in Montreal, where I trained and worked as a pastry cook in the finest establishments and founded a beloved preserves company called Preservation Society (2011-2018, RIP).
